Strictly Come Dancing, 6.30pm, BBC One
It’s squeaky glitterball time as Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman host the semi-final, which seems Chris McCausland (below, with Dianne Buswell), Pete Wicks, Tasha Ghouri, JB Gill and Sarah Hadland one step closer to this year’s crown.
As the competition is in its final stages, each couple will now perform not one but two routines in a bid to impress the judges and the UK audience at home.
Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse will be on hand to give their final judgement, as in next week's final their scores will be for guidance only.
Mariah Meets Rylan, 8.15pm, BBC Two
The BBC Radio 2 presenter heads to Los Angeles to meet Mariah Carey (below), who talks about her life, music and the festive season as All I Want for Christmas Is You hits 30.
Mariah reveals how she came up with the melody for her hit Hero, and talks about the jobs she had before she was famous and her multiple appearances on Top of the Pops.
She also discusses her inspirations including Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and George Michael.
Rylan also puts Mariah's English accent to the test as he pretends to audition her for a part in EastEnders.
Followed at 9.10pm by Mariah Carey at the BBC, and then Mariah Carey: Fantasy Live at Madison Square Garden 1995 at 10.25pm.
