Fiona Shaw has said Bad Sisters creator, writer and star Sharon Horgan is "a superwoman" as she described the process of working alongside her on the acclaimed comedy-drama.
Shaw, who joined season two of Bad Sisters as Angelica, an old acquaintance of Grace's (Anne-Marie Duff), said it was "great fun" making the Apple TV+ series with Horgan.
Appearing on The Late Late Show on Friday night, Shaw told host Patrick Kielty: "What was really unusual about it is that Sharon turns up every morning with her laptop and she just types and fixes.
"She's probably writing ten other shows as well, I mean she's just a superwoman.
"And then you go onto the set to do the thing that you've prepared to do, and she and Dearbhla [Walsh] who directed it, they start putting their heads together, or all three of us do, and the scenes begin to develop and develop and develop.
"That was great fun that you're doing what's written but you're also doing something else."
The Cork native also joked about Horgan's jumbled pitch for the show.
"They asked me for coffee and I'd read one episode, and I said to Sharon: 'What's the rest of the story about?' and she took off like a Harley-Davidson: 'And then this happens, and then this happens' and I didn't know what she was saying half the time!
"Then she wrote to me and said 'I know I sounded garbled' but I was already hooked."
Shaw also spoke working with prolific television talent Phoebe Waller-Bridge on Killing Eve and Fleabag.
"She's just the most astonishing talent, she has so many gifts and she's got a very kind heart," Shaw said. "It was great fun experimenting with Phoebe on that."
