Produced by fellow Mayo musician Kriss Burda, Waiting For You sat on Liam’s computer for nearly two years before finally coming to life.

"I always knew it was going to be a great track, but it wasn't until I showed it to Kriss in the studio that it flourished into the final track you hear now," he says.

"Once I heard the finished version, I knew it was the perfect song to release as my second single. Lyrically, the song deals with a right person, wrong time scenario.

"Sometimes things in life don't always fall into place like you expect them to. Waiting For You represents the acceptance of this and the understanding that some of the best things in life are worth waiting for."

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I come from a small town in Mayo called Ballyhaunis. I am a former songwriting student from BIMM in Dublin. I have worked three summers as a music director at a summer camp in New York.

How would you describe your music?

I would call it feel good indie rock music. The goal is to make you want to turn up the speakers and sing along to every word.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Growing up, I was mostly surrounded by pop music. My first introduction to rock music was hearing Thin Lizzy at a summer camp run by Music Generation. This opened up a whole new scene for me and became obsessed with guitar-driven bands like Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

I don’t think I’ve ever admitted this before but my first concert was seeing Jedward in the Royal Theatre in Castlebar.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Doo-Wops & Hooligans by Bruno Mars.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Favourite - Fontaines D.C. (no pun intended).

Favourite lyric of all time?

"If we don't know where we belong, it'll make no difference from where we started" - Saturday Superhouse by Biffy Clyro.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Money For Nothing - Dire Straits.

Where can people find your music/more information?

Instagram, Tik-Tok.
