Singer Lena Zavaroni (below) became a celebrity at the age of nine, subsequently releasing a top 10 album, sharing the stage with Frank Sinatra and performing for US president Gerald Ford - all before her 11th birthday.

But the pressures of fame - following her success on the TV talent show Opportunity Knocks - led the young Scottish singer to a lifelong battle with anorexia.

She contracted pneumonia and died in 1999 at the age of 35.

Told from the perspective of her 84-year-old father Victor, this story reflects on parental regret as he seeks peace with his daughter's untimely fate.

With contributions from her cousin Margaret Zavaroni, producer Tommy Scott, Italia Conti classmates Bonnie Langford and Lisa Maxwell, friend Carmen Cori and fellow child star Neil Reid.

But each of them is privy to only part of the information necessary to find it, setting in motion a series of deadly betrayals.

Chosen to bring the Messiah into the world, Mary (Noa Cohen) is shunned following a miraculous conception and forced into hiding.
