Gladiator II star Paul Mescal is among host Patrick Kielty's guests on this Friday's star-studded edition of The Late Late Show.

In his first sit down Irish television interview, the BAFTA award-winning actor will chat about his much-anticipated Hollywood blockbuster role.

Paul will also chat to Patrick about working with legendary director Ridley Scott, his friendship with Saoirse Ronan and their recent appearance together on The Graham Norton Show and coming home to his family in Kildare.

U2 bassist and global rock superstar Adam Clayton will be live in studio to talk about Ballroom Blitz, his documentary about the Irish showband scene of the 60s and 70s and how it's in his blood.

He'll also be telling Patrick about the Las Vegas Sphere and U2's 40-day residency there, as well as sharing exciting news of previously unheard U2 tracks.

Graham Norton will be chatting about the inspiration for his fifth bestselling novel, Frankie; the 'one - chat show guest - that got away’ early in his career; and why he decided to get his weekends back by leaving his long running radio show.

Keeping with the theme of Cork people doing great things, Samantha Barry is coming home to Ireland and will join Patrick to chat about her new role as Glamour magazine's first Global Editorial Director, life in New York post US Presidential elections and dancing with Beyonce at the recent Glamour Women of the Year Awards.

Comedian, actor and writer Brendan O’Carroll is home from Florida and will be chatting to Patrick about his hit TV series, Mrs Brown’s Boys, which returns this Christmas.

He’ll also chat about his live show, The Musical for Moore Street, which tours Ireland in the coming weeks.

Altan, will be taking care of the music on Friday night. Ahead of tour dates around Ireland, they'll perform a set of reels to get viewers hands clicking and toes tapping.
