Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I'm Flo Naegeli, let me tell you three, I’m curious, creative, and love to be free. I thrive in teamwork, but solo’s okay, Driven to learn and grow every day.
How would you describe your music?
My music is a blend of the old and the new post-modern nostalgia with a fresh point of view. Hints of the past, but I twist and reshape, Echoes of memories in a future escape.
Who are your musical inspirations?
My roots run deep, from my grandparents’ songs, Their tunes and traditions have kept me strong. Stevie Wonder’s soul opened my eyes, and Jordan Rakei brings the groove that flies. Prince showed me how to break all the rules, mixing funk, jazz, and pop as my musical tools.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
My first gig was local, a real hometown treat, at a Bavarian Gartenfest, where the crowd tapped their feet. Traditional Volksmusic filled up the air, with accordions, brass, and a festive flair.
What was the first record you ever bought?
The first record I bought was Hendrix, no doubt, a Best of his magic, made my soul shout. Guitar riffs blazing, wild and free, Jimi’s sound lit a fire deep inside me.
What’s your favourite song right now?
The Downtown Lights by The Blue Nile.
Favourite lyric of all time?
Haven’t found it yet. Probably something Anderson.Paak ish.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Tough question but Love’s In Need Of Love Today - Stevie Wonder.
