The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre has revealed its 2025 season featuring a star-studded line-up of blockbuster productions including Moulin Rouge!, War Horse and Tina.
Other major productions include Only Fools and Horses, which will star Paul Whitehouse as Grandad and The Girl on the Train, an adaptation of Paula Hawkins' bestselling novel, with Laura Whitmore starring.
For musical fans, Johannes Radebe from Strictly Come Dancing will lead a new production of Kinky Boots.
The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre will also produce its own version of Little Shop of Horrors, following on from its in-house production of West Side Story during the COVID era.
Jason Donovan will return to the stage in The Rocky Horror Show and a beautiful new production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe will be presented for younger audiences. Other favourites such as Calamity Jane and Cabaret will also be staged throughout the season.
The BGET prides itself on offering a diverse range of performances, catering to different audience interests. The General Manager Stephen Faloon said: "Our audiences enjoy a mix of cabaret, opera, and dance, and we are excited to continue promoting and supporting these productions."
The theatre is looking forward to hosting the Dublin Dance Festival in May, which will celebrate its 21st anniversary. Artistic Director Jazmin Chiodi shared her enthusiasm for the festival’s anniversary programme, particularly the return of Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. This production, which has been a global sensation for 30 years, will tour to Dublin as part of the celebrations.
In addition, the BGET will host Luail, Ireland’s first all-island dance company, which will debut its first production, Chora, at the venue. The Irish National Opera will also return with The Flying Dutchman.
