Jennifer Zamparelli on 2fm exit: 'I am very happy with my decision'

Former 2fm presenter Jennifer Zamparelli has said that she is "so happy" with the balance she has in her life following her shock departure from the station earlier this year and admits she has no regrets.

The broadcaster, who announced she was leaving her daily show on the radio station in May, said while she "really" misses the listeners and crew, she still stands by her decision.

Zamparelli presented her own show from 9 - 12pm weekdays on 2fm since May 2019. She joined the station in February 2014 on Breakfast Republic.

Zamparelli was one of the five high-profile presenters who shocked Irish listeners when she announced her exit from the station during the summer - Doireann Garrihy, The 2 Johnnies and Donncha O'Callaghan also left the station.

"I was at 2fm for ten years and while I really miss the listeners and the crew there, I am very happy with my decision," she added.

When asked if she could reveal any names in advance, she said the team never tell her who is due on the floor in advance, as she "can't keep it to myself".

"At this point, they know they can’t trust me to keep it quiet so they just don’t tell me anything," she joked.

When asked who she would like to see compete for the glitterball trophy she said: "I’d like to see wee Daniel (Daniel O'Donnell) or maybe Barry Keoghan... if he’s free for a few weeks after Christmas?"
