Dublin singer Jazzy has overtaken Sinéad O'Connor and Enya to become the most popular Irish female artist in the world on Spotify.
The Crumlin-born pop star (28), who broke through with her debut single Giving Me last year, now has an audience of 7.3M monthly listeners on the music streaming site, which places her ahead of the late O’Connor, who has 5.3 million monthly listeners, and Donegal star Enya, who has 4.8 million.
The newly released figures also make Jazzy the fifth biggest Irish solo artist overall, after Hozier, Van Morrison, Niall Horan and Dermot Kennedy, just 18 months after the release of Giving Me in March 2023.
The No 1 Irish hit made her the first Irish woman to top the Irish charts in over 14 years, as well as earning her a UK Top 3 success.
The news comes ahead of the release of Jazzy’s new single No Bad Vibes with Kilimanjaro next Friday.
Jazzy is due to undertake her second headline Ireland and UK tour. She plays Index, Dublin on 9 November, The Telegraph Building, Belfast on 22 November, and The Electric Ballroom, London on 23 November.
