Thanks Mom are Erica, Grace, Amelie and Cillian and their songs cover themes such as "life, death, sadness, friendship, self-hatred, and feelings of giving up."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
Grace: I play guitar, sing and love cats!
How would you describe your music?
Erica: I would say our music is a fun blend of alternative/Indie rock and pop, but we pull from such a wide range of influences such as The Breeders, Hole, Taylor Swift, Fugazi, Elliott Smith and so many more.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Cillian: The Beatles, Fugazi, and Pixies.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Grace: Twenty One Pilots in the 3Arena when I was 13.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Erica: I was gifted The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars on vinyl for Christmas. Such an amazing album although I didn't know how to use a record player so it is now scratched, dusty, bent and barely plays a song.
What's your favourite song right now?
Cillian: Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin.
Favourite lyric of all time?
Amelie: "When routine bites hard and ambitions are low, And resentment rides high but emotions won't grow, And we're changing our ways, taking different roads, Love, love will tear us apart again." - Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Erica: Maybe Beach Life-in-Death by Car Seat Headrest because it's 13 minutes long and basically like four songs.
