The trailer for the upcoming Irish comedy Fran the Man has been released ahead of the film opening in cinemas next month.
The feature-length mockumentary centres around Fran Costello, the much-loved star of the football mockumentary series Fran which aired on Setanta Sports and TV3 from 2009 - 2011.
Fran The Man, from writer Richie Conroy (Two by Two, Malory Towers) and director Stephen Bradley (Last One Laughing, Noble), sees him working undercover to save the beautiful game from match-fixing.
The film stars a host of top Irish comedic talent including Darragh Humphreys reprising his role as Fran, Ardal O'Hanlon, Amy Huberman, Risteárd Cooper, Toni O'Rourke and Deirdre O’Kane.
Director Stephen Bradley previously promised "loads of laughs and a whole lot of heart", while producer McCarthy said "the script is a gem and it's been a joy to see this incredibly talented cast and crew bring it to life."
Fran the Man opens in Irish cinemas nationwide on Friday, 11 April.
