Towards Zero, 9.00pm, BBC One

This is a three-part adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel, starring Anjelica Huston and Matthew Rhys, as well as rising Irish actress Ella Lily Hyland.

After a scandalous divorce, a tennis star, his ex-wife, and a volatile mix of guests converge on a coastal estate.

With unfinished business between the visitors, tensions are soon running high. A troubled detective wrestling with his own despair must recover his sense of purpose when a murder is committed.

The 97th Oscars ceremony, from the Dolby Theatre in Ovation Hollywood. Hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien. The musical Emilia Pérez leads the nominations with a total of 13, followed by Wicked and The Brutalist, which have 10 each.

The Americas, 6.45pm, BBC One

Documentary showcasing the wonders, secrets and fragilities of the American continents, narrated by Tom Hanks no less.

It begins with the creatures that live along North America's Atlantic coast, from the wild horses of Chesapeake Bay and the young raccoon learning the challenges of urban survival in New York City to the young black bears foraging in the Appalachian forests.

Up in the air, bald eagles chase ospreys for a hard-won meal, while beneath the waters sand tiger sharks act as unlikely guardians for schools of scad fish.

Forensics: The Real CSI, 9.00pm, BBC Two

Season 5 of the documentary series following crime scene investigators on major and complex cases to reveal the crucial role cutting-edge forensic science plays in bringing criminals to justice.

In the opening episode, West Midlands police officers are called to the scene of a fatal stabbing.

The forensic team comb the property for evidence and realise it is being used as a brothel. They soon identify the victim - and then turn to a trail of blood in a bid to track the killer.

The Bay, 9.00pm, UTV

Another season 5 begins!

This time it’s the crime drama set in Morecambe, following police officers as they untangle the complexities of criminal cases while also trying to help the families and individuals caught up in them.

DS Jenn Townsend returns to work following her father's death and has to push her own grief aside as she investigates the murder of a young woman.

Black Dog, Sky Cinema Premiere & NOW

This Chinese drama directed by Guan Hu, starring Eddie Peng and Tong Liya had its world premiere at last year's Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Un Certain Regard prize.

On the edge of the Gobi Desert in Northwest China, Lang returns to his hometown after being released from jail.While working for the local dog patrol team to clear the town of stray dogs before the Olympic Games, he strikes up an unlikely connection with a black dog.

These two lonely souls now embark on a new journey together.

The second episode shows the depths of David Frost’s friendship with legendary boxer Muhammad Ali (above), from their first fiery encounter in 1968 to their final televised meeting in 2002.

Through these interviews, we see the course of these tumultuous years for Ali, and for African American civil rights in general.

Jennifer Zamparelli and Doireann Garrihy (below) present as the remaining contestants and their partners dance to a selection of country music, before the sixth celebrity hoofer is voted off.

As ever, judges Arthur, Brian, Karen and Loraine will be offering guidance, criticism and precious points as the stars go stepping out.

With just a fortnight to go to this year’s final, there’ll be some battle to remain in the contest.

The highlight of this Sunday’s triple bill of gaelic action – which begins at 1.15pm - sees Limerick face Clare (Throw-in 3.45pm).

Micheál Ó Domhnaill presents coverage of the match in Division 1A of the Allianz Hurling League from TUS Gaelic Grounds.
