Abbott Elementary, Disney+

Here’s season 4 of the workplace comedy following a group of dedicated, passionate teachers - and a slightly tone-deaf principal - as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system.

The opening episode sees the school reopen after its summer break.

When construction of a nearby golf course causes issues and brings unprecedented new arrivals to the school, the teachers rally together to find out what they can do to improve the conditions.

Meanwhile, Ava invites a Human Resources employee to the school when it becomes apparent that Janine and Gregory have been dating over the summer.

Surgeons: At the Edge of Life, 9.00pm, BBC Two

Here's a series that's certainly not for the squeamish. I definitely haven't got the stomach for it!

Cameras follow the work of leading surgeons in Scotland, filmed at NHS Lothian's The Royal Infirmary, Western General and St Johns.

Consultant hepato-biliary surgeon Rajan Ravindran takes on complex procedures involving the liver, pancreas and gallbladder.

Meanwhile, at the Western General Hospital, consultant urological surgeon Alex Laird operates on a 61-year-old man with kidney cancer.

In this brand-new series, Eva Pau demonstrates the versatility of Asian cuisine, beginning with the versatility of cooking with rice.

She prepares Chinese prawn and egg fried rice, Japanese temaki handrolls and a mango and coconut sticky rice dessert.

Vivien Heilbron Remembers: Grey Granite, 10.00pm, BBC Four

The actress remembers the 1983 drama, which was the third and final part of Lew Grassic Gibbon's 'A Scots Quair' trilogy that the BBC adapted for television.

Vivien Heilbron looks back on her time making the series and the challenges she faced when taking on the key role of Chris Guthrie one last time.

She outlines the challenges of bringing Gibbon's story to the screen once again and shares an overview of her memories from across the entire trilogy.

This is followed at 10.15pm by all three episodes of Grey Granite.

After her second husband's death, Chris Guthrie moves to Duncairn and buys a half-share in a guest house.

The Repair Shop, 8.00pm, BBC One

Experts restore an elephant puppet that survived a fire and is believed to have been part of the early BBC children's programme Muffin the Mule.

There’s also a Swiss timepiece that belonged to a Lancaster bomber pilot in the Second World War, a sign showing a lap record time from a racetrack in Scarborough and a hurley from the 1980s.

Grantchester, 9.00pm, UTV

Season 9 concludes as Geordie and Larry are called out to investigate the mysterious death of a reclusive man on the streets of Cambridge.

As they investigate the apparent suicide, Alphy and Geordie unravel a series of clues that leads them to a shocking revelation.

Meanwhile, with Daniel's whereabouts still unknown, Leonard receives a letter from Daniel that only increases his concern.
