Born and bred in Dublin, Don first learnt to play harmonica as a young boy in hospital recovering from a bout of TB, immersing himself in the Blues and especially blues harmonica and listening to the recordings Sonny Boy Williamson and Howlin' Wolf.
Fifty years on, he is still performing the songs of Blues legends and compositions of his own. His songs have been recorded by artists including Sinead O’Connor, Charlie McCoy, Finbar Furey, and Declan O’Rourke.
He has released fifteen albums and shared stages with Tom Jones, Sinéad O’Connor and Van Morrison.
He tours his One-Man My Story Tour nationwide and plays 22 March at Wexford Arts Centre, Wexford. 29 March at Moat Theatre, Naas. 12 April at Nenagh Arts Centre, Tipperary. 26 April at Theatre Royal, Castlebar. 11 May at Cyprus Avenue, Cork. 18 May at Roisin Dubh, Galway. 7 June at The Venue, Ratoath. 12 June at Draiocht, Blanchardstown, Dublin. June 24 at Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray. September 3 at Whelan's, Dublin. 6 September at Westport Town Hall Theatre, Mayo.

The Bee Gees at the Adelphi, Dublin around 1968.
