DWTS's Yasmin Seky: 'I feel like I've achieved what I wanted to do'

Yasmin Seky has said she has "achieved what I wanted to do" on Dancing with the Stars which is why she doesn't feel disappointed to have been eliminated from the competition in Sunday night's show.

The Kin actress and her professional partner Simone Arena faced the dreaded dance-off with former Miss Ireland Aishah Akorede and her partner Robert Rowiński, with the judging panel, Loraine Barry, Brian Redmond, Arthur Gourounlian and Karen Byrne, choosing to keep Aishah in the show.

Speaking to press following her elimination, Yasmin said that her confidence has grown as she progressed in the competition.

"I think since Dedicated Dance Week I feel like I've come out of my shell a lot more," she said. "I feel like I've achieved what I wanted to do and I think that's why there's no tears tonight.

"I'm happy that Aishah stayed in, I feel like I've accomplished what I wanted to do. I do think that my confidence was showing on the floor tonight."

Yasmin Seky: "I do think that my confidence was showing on the floor tonight."

"As the weeks went on I improved so much," she said. "It's gonna happen at some stage, personally I feel it was a little bit early."

The Dublin native reflected on the dance-off, saying: "Maybe if I didn't mess up in the dance-off it could have been different, but as Brian said the pressure gets to you, it's a competition."

Her partner Simeone Arena interjected: "You did try your best, sometimes nerves can get in the way. It's part of the game.

"We had a great run, we had a good time. I've seen you growing from not having done anything at all, we shouldn't forget that. You came in with zero experience and challenged yourself in every possible way.

"Being able to go from having done nothing at all with dancing to do a full performance like that. I believe in Yasmin - she did pull it off. It is physically and mentally really difficult."

Simone Arena said of Yasmin Seky: "You came in with zero experience and challenged yourself in every possible way."

The actress admitted she didn't expect to have to perform her Jive a second time.

"Do I think not pointing my toes should have landed me in the dance-off? No." Yasmin added.
