Joanna Donnelly has some unfinished business on DWTS...

Despite losing the dance-off on Sunday's Dancing with the Stars, meteorologist Joanna Donnelly has vowed to return for the season finale because she has unfinished business with one particular technique.

However, as Donnelly's professional dance partner Maciej Zięba reminded her, there is a group dance in the season finale where all the contestants return, so there is time yet.

A "no regrets" Donnelly is also planning to enjoy the live show as an audience member in the weeks to come as she cheers on her fellow contestants in the studio.

"I did get better every week," she said. "It would have been lovely to stay to the end, but you know..."

During all the training, a great friendship was forged

With every DWTS week feeling like a bonus, she is also so grateful that the show introduced her to pro dance partner Zięba, who has become a great friend in quick time.

"We had such a good time," she enthused. "I think out of everybody in the show, we had the best. We really did."

When asked which of her Met Éireann colleagues she would like to see sign up for the next series of Dancing with the Stars, Donnelly replied without hesitation: "Gerry Murphy!

"He thinks he can do it because I think I was doing the Quickstep one day and he said, 'Oh, show me!' And he did the kicks and he said: 'There! I did it!"
