Eurovision fever hits Dancing with the Stars this Sunday

"All nine couples will dance to some of the greatest hits the Eurovision has ever produced, hoping to impress the judges and public. However, the pressure will be mounting more than ever, as the two couples with the lowest combined points from the judges and public will face off in the first dance-off of the season.

"There will be no douze points on offer, but the celebrity couples will be aiming for perfect tens.

"Comedian Gearóid Farrelly and his pro dance partner Stephen Vincent will perform Contemporary Ballroom to Gearóid's friend and podcast co-host Niamh Kavanagh's 1993 winning Irish entry In Your Eyes. There will be extra pressure on Gearóid, as Niamh plans to watch his performance from the front row in studio.

"Having won immunity from this week's first dance-off with their leader board-topping American Smooth last week, Taekwondo athlete Jack Woolley and pro dancer Alex Vladimirov will face a little less stress as they dance a Paso Doble to Finland's 2023 runner-up, Cha Cha Cha by Käärijä.

"Jack and Alex cannot be eliminated and have booked their place in the following week's show. However, it's all to play for with the other eight couples, as the two with the lowest combined points from the judges and public will go head-to-head in the first dance-off. The judges will then vote for the celebrity couple they would like to save - and who they are sending home."
