Andrew Scott, who stars in the video for People Watching, the title track from British singer-songwriter Sam Fender's new album, has described the experience of making the promo as "truly cathartic".
Directed by Stuart McIntyre in Long Beach, California, the video depicts love and loss with Ripley and All of Us Strangers star Scott playing the central character.
"Sam's masterpiece of a song has become a true friend to me," said the Dublin actor.
"Working on it was truly cathartic, and I'll always be grateful to Sam for his extraordinary talent, and for the other artists who made this film, and of course to my mum, who I will hold in my heart 'til the day I die."
Saluting Scott, Fender said: "I'm really excited for the People Watching video to be out in the world this week. I was so buzzing when I found out Andrew wanted to be involved - I'm a huge fan of his and he was absolutely perfect for the role."
The album People Watching is released on Friday 21 February.
