Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I'm a musician/singer-songwriter from Dublin creating original music/art. At the moment, my releases are singles accompanied by videos (directed by John Bermingham). My next release that I'm working on now is about climate change.
How would you describe your music?
I would describe it as eclectic and progressive. The music is inspired by different sounds and musical styles such as world music, rhythm 'n' blues, rock, etc. I play drums and percussion and Afro-Cuban/South American rhythms would be a strong underlying influence also.
Who are your musical inspirations?
They include musicians of all genres but particularly drummers, singers and songwriters. I've always listened to music where the singer and drummer really complement each other. My first musical inspiration would be my Dad. Then Prince, Michael Bland, Sheila E., Aretha Franklin, Bernard Purdie, Freddie King, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Jeff Porcaro, Talking Heads and many more.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
The Business (Pat Farrell, Gerry Hendrick, Tommy Moore and my Dad)
What was the first record you ever bought?
Abraxas by Santana.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Unfinished Sympathy by Massive Attack.
Favourite lyric of all time?
Well, there's a rose in a fisted glove, And the eagle flies with the dove" - Love the One You're With by Stephen Stills.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Teardrops by Womack & Womack.
