There's a Room to Improve special with former DWTS judge Julian Benson, It’s movie week on Dancing with the Stars, new arrivals on Call the Midwife, and plenty of GAA action . . .

The spotlight will be on the Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in this Room to Improve special

It focuses on a deeply personal mission for founder (and former Dancing with the Stars judge) Julian Benson: to create a home away from home in Dublin for people living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families during hospital treatments.

Following the purchase of a three-storey Georgian house with a lower ground floor in south Dublin, the story will explore the highs, lows and occasional surprises of renovating a period property.

Viewers can follow architect Dermot Bannon and his amazing team as they strip the 162-year-old house to the bare walls, retrofitting, regenerating and bringing this beautiful building up to modern standards.

With conservation a key element in the renovation of Tranquility House, Dermot and his team will ensure as many of the original features of the house are saved and restored.

Alongside Dermot, the show will feature interior designer Celine Collins and well-known TV builder Brandon Duarte, known for his love of a challenge.

The celebrity dance contest continues, with the competition moving into Movie Week.

Highlights will include comedian Gearóid Farrelly (above) transforming into The Artful Dodger alongside his partner Stephen Vincent for an American Smooth to Consider Yourself from Oliver!

Also, Olympic gold medal-winner Rhys McClenaghan and partner Laura Nolan will be hoping to take us to dizzying heights when they open the show with a Charleston to the theme from Spider-Man.

This episode also sees the second elimination, as the next celebrity dancer is voted out of the contest.

Dancing on Ice, 6.25pm, Virgin Media One & UTV

Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern (below) host as the 10 remaining couples compete in movie week, performing routines inspired by beloved films.

That’s all in the hope of impressing judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and avoiding elimination.

Plus, the skating professionals perform a routine inspired by Wicked

Call the Midwife, 8.00pm, BBC One

It’s not just about the arrival of babies on tonight’s show as the Nonnatus team prepares for the arrival of a new nun and trainee midwife, Sister Catherine.

There’s little time to settle in for the latter as, under Nurse Crane's supervision, Sister Catherine is thrown into a complex case.

Meanwhile, Dr Turner is taken aback when mother of seven Peggy Wrigley asks for an abortion and is disappointed by the general apathy towards the measles vaccination clinic.

Mysteries of Loch Ness, 6.05pm, Channel 4

Documentary exploring the enduring history, folklore and science of the legendary Loch Ness monster, with contributions from believers, sceptics, tourists and locals alike.

A passionate Nessie hunter believes he has the first audio recording of the monster, while an academic considers the psychology behind these strange sightings.

Plus, there’s a look at similar legends from around the world.

Schindler's List, 10.30pm, BBC Two

Steven Spielberg's Oscar-winning drama, starring Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes.

In German-occupied Poland during the Second World War, businessman and Nazi Party member Oskar Schindler is deeply affected when he witnesses the clearing of the Krakow Ghetto.

He decides to try to save Jews destined for the concentration camps by employing them in his factory - an act of mercy made possible by a deal struck with a sadistic German commandant.

Misery, 12.00am, Channel 4

Hugely enjoyable Oscar-winning thriller, starring James Caan, a superb Kathy Bates and Lauren Bacall.

A successful author finds his relief at being rescued from a near-fatal car crash is severely tempered by the discovery that his saviour is a fan with psychopathic tendencies.

The situation takes a turn for the worse when she discovers he has killed off her favourite character - and sets about coercing him to do a rewrite in nightmarish fashion.

Sport

All the action from the match in the 10th round of fixtures, held at Kingspan Stadium as Ulster host Zebre (KO 5.30pm).

Ulster have struggled for consistency so far this term, but will still have high hopes of qualifying for the play-offs, and they will expect to claim a victory this evening against the Italians, who have shown signs of improvement this term, but still look set to finish down the table.

There’s a triple treat of GAA action today, opening with Kerry v Donegal (Throw-in 1.45pm).
