Penny Lancaster, the wife of Rod Stewart, says that she is "so blessed" to share the singer's 80th birthday with him and their children, as several of his celebrity pals also marked his milestone birthday.

The British star celebrated his birthday on Friday January 10, following confirmation in November that his 2025 European and North American tour dates will be his final "large-scale" major projects after a more than 60-year career.

Model and Loose Women star Lancaster, 53, who married Rod in 2007, wrote on Instagram: "Happy birthday my darling, so blessed to be sharing this day together with all our kids.

"Building more memories to carry with us into the future and to be held close to our hearts forever, I love you xx."

She shared the message, alongside an image of Rod in what appeared to be a sunny, and oversees destination, which has been reported to be a Caribbean island.

The couple had two children together following Rod welcoming six other children, including socialite Kimberly Stewart, model Ruby Stewart and reality star and musician Sean Stewart, from previous relationships.

Underneath Lancaster’s post, former Britain’s Next Top Model host Lisa Snowdon, TV presenter Davina McCall, Rod tour singer Becca Kotte, TV presenter Lizzie Cundy, pianist and BBC music show host Jools Holland wrote birthday messages for the singer.

Holland, who put out the album Swing Fever with Rod in 2024, wrote: "Many happy returns dear pal xxx."

McCall wrote: "Happy Birthday Rod ! Thank you for all the joy and dancing !!! Hope you all have the best day."

In an Instagram story, Elton John shared a collection of images with Rod, his friend, and occasional rival, who he pianist duetted with on the track Sad Songs (Say So Much) when he received the first Brits Icon Award in 2013.

Rod - known for the hits include Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?, You’re In My Heart, Hot Legs and Maggie May - promised last year he would not retire, but said he would focus on more intimate venues for his next tour slated for 2026.

The London-born singer, who will end his European tour in May and North American dates in August, is a member of the US Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and was knighted by the late Queen of England in 2016 for his services to British music and charity.

Earlier in the day, Rod thanked his "loyal and rowdy fans" in an Instagram story for "helping give me such a wonderful life" on his 80th birthday, and added that he hopes he has given them "some memorable songs and lively concerts".
