UK songwriter and guitarist Nieve Ella has released her new EP, Watch it Ache and Bleed. We asked her the BIG questions . . .

The 21-year-old singer supported Girl in Red on her recent European tour and speaking about Ganni Top, the lead single from the EP, she says, "It's a glamourised celebration of being young, fun, wild, and free, while also highlighting the needs of a woman. She gets what she needs!"

Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I'm a raging dyslexic. The only alcohol I order at the bar is Guinness. My mum started getting labour pains on New Year's Eve, so that's why I'm called Nieve (I was born on 1 January).
How would you describe your music?
It's just a mix of the music I am obsessed with but then lyrically me just calling out people or baiting myself out.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Sam Fender, Gracie Abrams, Wunderhorse, Wolf Alice.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Sam Smith in the 3Arena.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Justin Bieber - My World 2.0.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Paris - Die Twice.
Favourite lyric of all time?
